Hey Family!

haha yeah, I have given quite a few talks, so if I have to do another one I try and pull it out of my ones that I have already given haha with a few alterations here and there... yeah Jesus the Christ is so awesome!! Besides the Book of Mormon and New Testament I learned the most about Christ from that book. I also want to read Articles of Faith and The Great Apostasy by Talmage too, I think those two are also awesome. 

I think Vana will get her calling next week, she just got sustained a member this week,and then next week she should get it. Looking forward to it though, she bore her testimony in church yesterday, it was awesome!! 

We are trying to learn a Haka with the other elders and one of their members, the one that started doing it in Stake Conference, he's like the joke of the stake now but he does a mean Haka. We helped this lady in our ward and the sisters sand her floors, it was a big project, and we didn't get it done, but she had these two beautiful dogs, a husky and an Alaskan Malamute. I uploaded pics of them. 

We did a work out with Brother Treacher in Hastings again! It was so cool to see him! 

My watch strap broke while we were playing basketball, but then I fixed it with a random little piece I found in our flat. So its all good. I also am thinking about getting new shoes, my nikes are pretty toasted, I'll just get a pair from Warehouse that can last me 3 months haha that's all I need. 

We got a new investigator, and are trying to get the ball rolling again, its that slump after a baptism, always happens. Good week though, we have District P day today, going to a waterfall and maybe Te Mata peak, it's gonna be fun! Love you all, have fun, and a good week!

Dear Family,

Yeah Vana is so happy!! and she already has a calling lined up for young womens!! So sweet!! She is gonna love this ward!! The young women seem to be pretty good. It was just so great, man I could not have asked for a better baptism! If that is my last one, hope not, but all goods! That was awesome...I loved it, and I think she did too.  

haha yeah the shearing, man that was the hardest thing i have ever done!! we saw some shearing stitching, it was pretty out of it, if you miss the sheep you just grab your needles, sew him up, and move on with it. Blood everywhere...I didn't cut any lucky, I was afraid I would, but all good. It was super hard though.  

Nothing too crazy this week, we spoke on the Atonement in church and all the members said they enjoyed it a lot. I hope so. That Jesus the Christ book has helped me heaps! 

We caught a mouse that was in our house, i will upload pics of it, we gave it to the other elders for a bit and they lost it!! haha so now he's at their house! :) Good week though, loved it, another good one coming. Love and miss you all!

Dear Family,

Baptism. Vana Hira's baptism was so powerful!! I'm not just saying that because it was one of mine, but man, having her nephew there to baptize her, Elder Hira, and then being able to see her family come and witness this, it was so cool!! The Spirit was so strong!! and not to brag or anything, but President and Sister Hudson were able to come, and also President Pearson was there, he was up here for our Stake Conference, which was awesome by the way, and he was able to attend.(He spoke in the Sunday afternoon session of Conference if you don't know who he is :) ) Just so perfect, great support from the ward, just an all around awesome day! It was so great. Highlight of the week by far. 

Other side notes, we had a great FHE on Monday with the Seminary teacher in our ward, he's the man. Met a Psychic medium, so called, total baloney guy, weird as too. We got some new investigators into the woodwork, and just had a great week overall. We also went sheep shearing this morning with one of our members, started about 7, ended about 12, it was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done. EVER. We did sheep shearing, pressing wool, dragging them out, basically a bit of everything, it was so intense, but pretty cool though, experiencing New Zealand the hard way haha! :) Great week though, just can't top the awesome baptism we had. Just can't.

Dear Family,

Man yeah conference was awesome!! I loved it! they saved the best one for my last conference on the mission!! It was so powerful, Priesthood session was just amazing, Elder Ballard just smashed Tinder and Snapchat, it was so crack up!!!! We all just laughed, and everyone knows why he said those two... 

Yeah we basically pulled an America and watched it at 10 and 2. It was good, but man it's a long weekend when you watch it all. 

Yes we are!!!! Vana  passed the interview yesterday and she is all set for Saturday! We are super excited as well! I don't know if I told you, but the cool as part about it, is that her nephew Elder Hira is serving in Hastings close by, and so he is baptizing her!! So mean!! I have for sure seen God's hand in the way this all worked out. 

The Restoration was the thing she had to get a real firm testimony of, but she is going to pray this week and get settled about it, she's pretty hard on herself sometimes, but she is ready. I love the Restoration too, I love to teach it, so great! 

Other than all of this business, I had exchanges with Elder Harrington, he started here in Flaxmere and now he's finishing here in June, what a lucky guy! It was really great to meet people he had worked with.

We went to a funeral for an Elder in our mission who's cousin had just committed suicide...she was only 12.... Elder Tavo came up from Porirua, that's around Wellington, to stay up here for a couple days, it was really great to go to, if he ever serves here, he will convert all his non member family. Heaps of them! 

Just a great week though, so much good happened. Baptism this Saturday, that will be awesome! I will send you a picture of the invite and maybe a physical one too.

Dear Family!!!

 Man I just love Flaxmere...so much, it is so awesome!!! 

Yeah the member guy is stable as far as we know, awake maybe, but not 100% sure. We haven't been over to their house either because they are in the sisters area of our ward, but I think this week we will. yes! Vana is soo ready and excited to be baptized!! She invited heaps of friends and stuff, she is so awesome!! Yeah i can't wait to see it either! I love Conference! We do get it next week. 

This week we had exchanges, I was with Elder Winter, it was really fun, we painted a tree house and got to visit lots of people, i loved it. We made kind of Reese's peanut butter cups at a members house, our Stake president is in our ward, it was there, and he loves those.

 I finally saw Meet the Mormons!!! I think it's a great movie, and a simple way of showing some of our beliefs. It was great! We re organized our whole flat, I will have to send you pictures when i take some. I got the package from you as well! Thanks for all of that! I always love getting some Reese's :) 

Our Special Easter Sunday went pretty well too, we only had vana there, our other guy mason is training with a rugby team right now, so he was busy. It was pretty good, good speakers, could have been better, but it was good. Visited members, had great feeds, just loving this area, loving it. Elder Dalton and I are doing great and just doing our best. we have some new stuff to do this week and I'm trying to get more people in the area to visit, so that is looking up as well. All is well here in Flaxmere NZ. 

Because Jesus Christ Lives, we all will live again. He is our Savior He atoned, suffered, and died for every single one of us, so that one day all of us can overcome the effects of sin and death. This Easter, we remember His atonement and resurrection, so we can know the true peace and joy that comes from living His Gospel. I love Easter, as long as you get around the commercialism, I hate it, it just disgusts me, but Jesus Christ is the true meaning. remember what is possible, Because He Lives.
